Melanie Talks Santa Barbara Wines Saturday 04/05 3:30pm-5pm

$75.00

Only 90 minutes from Los Angeles lies one of the greatest wine regions in the world. No, I am not talking about Temecula. Instead, head North on the 101, or if you have time take PCH, and you will arrive in beautiful Santa Barbara County. From the Funk Zone, to the Wine Ghetto, to the rolling Santa Rita Hills, the wine industry in Santa Barbara County is a billion-dollar business. Over 300 wineries spread across 7 AVAs produce 75 different grape varieties, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay leading the way. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Grenache are also widely produced. (There is also the incredulous blend of Merlot + one scene from a 2004 indie film = something called "The Sideways Effect", but we'll talk more about that in class.)

On Saturday April 5th, join us at Melanie Wine Bar as the latest edition of Melanie Talks Wine focuses on the diverse wines of Santa Barbara County. Eight wines will be tasted and discussed alongside complementing charcuterie in a fun and friendly environment. All wines tasted will be available for purchase at 50% off regular menu prices, so bring your wine bags!

Class will be held from 3:30-5pm.
